National Laboratory Animal center, Southern area

The southern facility is located in the Tainan Campus of the Southern Science and Industrial Park and was officially opened in 2008. The southern facility adopts a management model that complies with international laboratory animal welfare standards and combines complete breeding and quarantine procedures to provide customized laboratory mouse breeding and testing services. It uses the synchronized professional technology between the Taipei Center and the southern facility to establish a seed bank. The off-site storage mechanism reduces the risk of extinction of precious experimental animal resources and provides users with more trustworthy services.
